Former State Senator visits NMHZ for Women's History Month

Former State Senator Ruth Hassell-Thompson visited Nelson Mandela/Dr. Hosea Zollicoffer School in celebration of Women’s History Month on Friday, March 10, 2023. Hassell-Thompson discussed her experiences in her career and life with the class.

Fifth, sixth and eighth grade scholars engaged her with a Q & A session during her visit. This opportunity allowed them to see the success of a woman from their own community and ask her about her life and accomplishments.
